at a recent circuit assembly a circuit overseer gave an awesome talk during the portion, 'giving attention to the needs of the circuit.
and with such a high pricetag, please don't let it be empty.

Twilight movies
by darnkid indoes anyone know exactly what the society has said on the twilight movies?
is it a matter of conscience or a real no-no?
my children are witnesses, i am df'd so i can't say anything, but one of them indulges in these movies and books-the baptized one who won't visit me or talk to me unless absolutely necessary.

i'm sure the org hates vampire stories but actually there all quite different. some are just gore and murder those are not good butsome are interesting. I loved the series forever knight. the stories about vampires that really became vamps against their will did some bad things but are now trying to change and sometimes they slip up due to unusual circumstances but they keep trying. I like those stories alot. the love story ones are just mildly amusing.

remember something important you did not leave the " the truth" you left the lie to return will bring it all back again you might feel worse than you do now. its ok not to have all the answers. i wish i knew what the truth was I search everyday for answers. maybe i'll find them maybe i won't .I'm not giving up looking for truth and you shouldn't either. take care of yourself find something to get interested in and each day you wake up have a fresh start new ideas new plans.

this isn't the first time I've been burned. I,m like someone who is in the desert looking for an oasis and i keep thinking I see the answer to the meaning of life and I throw myself at it and I find out its wrong. however this last jw episode has finally helped me to learn I have to be more careful. I don't regret my mistakes I,m hoping to do better and I,m still searching and I still havn,t found what I'm looking for.

LAST NIGHT..!
by iknowall558 ini finally went out on a 'ministry' work.
with a bit of help, i took all of my anti witness leaflets and put them through the doors of as many witnesses as i could in a 2hour time period.
it was the easiest and most exhilirating thing i've ever done.

passing out leaflets can be very exciting i remember long before i was a witness in the late sixties leafletting against the vietnam war and selling berkley barbs on the street corner. you feel like your doing something important. it all started for me in college when i was handed a leaflet i than proceeded to attend an sds meeting it was very highly charged activity.

New light: Generation
by 5thGeneration ingot some info from the annual meeting.. unofficially, the 'generation' is now categorized as 2 groups.
the first is 'the 1914 group' and the second is the younger anointed 'contemporaries' who 'actually work for a period of time with those anointed ones'.. the 'generation' is now 'the lifespan of those who actually saw the beginning of the sign and then the lifespan of those who worked with those who saw the beginning of the sign'.. here we go again....

Why Would Someone Like me Leave the "Truth"? Part 1

i am going to answer it with my own experience.
before i do that, i want to discuss what we are told through the literature and the instruction that is given during meetings, assemblies and conventions, for the reasons why people leave the truth.. the watchtower of 15 november 2008, in the article help them return without delay indicates people leave because of the following:.

the first problem here is calling this the truth before you really know if it is or not. if it really was the truth you would be a fool to leave it but at this point you have not yet made a decision. before you call it true be sure. the wts does not allow for that kind of activity any questions or searching is dangerous and you will be punished. interestingly as someone who became a witness in my 30's i realize now how i was fooled. as a study you are allowed to ask questions and if you had no contact with witnesses previously you don't realize alot of things. many things i didn't ask because i just didn't get it. I thought we were going to have these open discussions for the duration boy was i wrong! i was baptized with a fantasy in my head. I had no fear of elders ,co's do's they were just some guys running around the hall doing stuff. people raised as witnesses seemed to have some internal fear of displeasing them. so what i,m saying is be careful in your quest for truth ask all the questions find out everything you can. don,t be afraid of them it,s never wrong to ask to search and be sure.
